Screen Size Guide
This guide explains the display compatibility for the Arcade Trigger pistol. The system uses a built-in camera to track the 4 IR sensors, meaning the gun itself is not limited by a specific screen size.
However, because the IR sensors connect through USB cables, the maximum supported screen size is around 100 inches (diagonal).
For the best gameplay experience, we recommend using a screen between 33" and 55".
Most of the gameplay footage shown on our website was recorded using a 55" TV.
Keep in mind that larger screens allow you to stand farther away while playing.
The minimum distance represents how close the gun can track the screen, while the optimal distance indicates the recommended position for the player.

FEELS LIKE A REAL ARCADE MACHINE
I honestly didn’t expect it to feel this close to the real arcade experience. The recoil and vibration make every shot feel satisfying, and the tracking is surprisingly accurate. I’ve been playing House of the Dead and it feels just like the old machines. Setup was also easier than I thought.

I’m using it with a MAME setup on my PC and it works great. The tracking is precise and the recoil system makes the gameplay way more immersive. After a quick setup everything just works. If you like classic light gun games this is absolutely worth it.

If you purchase one of our Bundle versions, you will receive our 1TB Pixel Heaven USB Card containing over 15,000 classic arcade titles ready to play. If you buy the single pistol, you will receive only the controller and sensors.
HOW DOES IT WORK? DO I CONNECT IT TO MY PC OR TV?

Retro Trigger requires a PC (Windows/Linux) or a Raspberry Pi to run the games. You connect the sensors to your TV/Projector, plug the 1TB and game set card into your PC, and you're ready to play. It is not a "stand-alone" console that plugs directly into the TV without a computer.
DOES IT WORK WITH PS5, XBOX, OR STEAM DECK?

No. Our gun only works with Windows, Linux and Android OS. While it works perfectly on Steam Deck (in Desktop Mode), it is not compatible with PS5 or Xbox as these consoles do not support the external lightgun drivers required for our system.

Absolutely YES. Unlike old CRT lightguns, our infrared technology works on any screen type: LED, OLED, 4K, and even Projectors up to 150 inches with no size limit.
